Background Briefing on Secretary Cohen's Trip to Asia
A senior Defense department official will provide a background briefing on Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen's upcoming trip to Asia on Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at 1 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon Room 2E781.
Cohen is scheduled to leave on Sept. 13 to visit U.S. forces in the region and to consult with his counterparts and senior government officials in the Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Republic of Korea and Japan. Cohen is scheduled to return on Sept. 22.
