Military Quality of Life Summit
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen and Janet Langhart Cohen will host the first annual "Military Quality of Life Summit" on Thursday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. EDT, at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, 1615 H St., NW, Washington, D.C. Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Richard B. Myers, Ambassador Craig Johnstone, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas J. Donahue, H. Ross Perot and corporate executives from around the country will attend.
This summit is designed to bring business and military leaders together to strengthen ties and develop potential partnership opportunities. Among other things, the summit will develop initiatives to tap into the labor pool of military spouses and highlight the almost 285,000 highly trained veterans who return annually to the job market.
