DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY TO HOLD BRIEFING ON VIEQUES
Secretary of the Navy Richard Danzig; Commander, Second Fleet Vice Adm. William Fallon; and Commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces Atlantic Lt. Gen. Peter Pace will conduct a news briefing July 15 at 4 p.m. EDT, in the Pentagon briefing studio, Room 2E781, to announce a Department of the Navy review of the use of target ranges at Vieques, Puerto Rico.
Danzig directed that the review be conducted to assess the operational requirements and utilization of the Vieques' ranges, following an accidental death last April.
