Background on Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen's Upcoming Trip to Russia
A senior Defense Department official will provide a background briefing on Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen's upcoming trip to Russia at 10:30 a.m. EDT in the Pentagon's DoD Briefing Room, Room 2E781, on Friday, Sept. 10, 1999.
Cohen is scheduled to leave on Sept. 12 and will have discussions on the status of cooperation in Kosovo, defense re-engagement, and strategic issues such as the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty, the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty, and national missile defense. Cohen is scheduled to return on Sept. 14.
