Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen to Speak at U.S. Conference of Mayors
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will address the annual meeting of the U. S. Conference of Mayors on Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998 at 11:30 a.m. (EST) at the Capitol Hilton, 16th and K Streets, N. W., Washington, D. C.
Cohen's speech, which is open to the media, will cover aspects of the revolution in business affairs of the Department of Defense.
The Secretary also will reiterate the need for additional rounds of base closures.
An effort will be made to have the Secretary's remarks piped into the Pentagon.
