Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will host a full honors arrival ceremony to welcome Minister of Defense Valeriu Pasat, of the Republic of Moldova, at Conmy Hall, Fort Myer, Va., at 9:20 a.m. (EST), Thursday, Jan. 29, 1998.
Cohen and Pasat will sign a Joint Statement between the Secretary of Defense of the United States and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova following the ceremony.
Media interested in covering this event should report to Fort Myer's Conmy Hall between 8:40 a.m. and 9 a.m. (EST).
Media parking is available in the Summerall Field parking lot, located across the street from Conmy Hall.
To get to Fort Myer, take I-395 to exit 8 (Washington Blvd./Route 27), take the second right off Washington Blvd., follow the ramp to Hatfield Gate.
Gate guards will direct media to the ceremony site.
Media must be at the Conmy Hall no later than 9 a.m. (EST).
