Service and Burial Set for Pentagon Police Officer

            A memorial service for Pentagon police officer James Feltis III will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. EST at the Hylton Memorial Chapel, 14640 Potomac Mills Rd. in Woodbridge, Va.  The casket will arrive at 7:45 a.m. and a public viewing will be held from 8-10:45 a.m.  Media are asked to be in place by 6:30 a.m. at the chapel.

            A procession will then follow to the Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd. in Triangle, Va., for the interment, which will begin at 1 p.m.  Media need to be in place by 10:30 a.m.  A full honor ceremony at graveside will include the playing of Taps, Scottish bagpipes, a 21-gun salute, last call for service, and a flyover of helicopters.

            The Pentagon Force Protection Agency will have designated areas for coverage.  The points of contact are Lt. Aubrey Davis, (571) 722-6046 and Lt. Robbie Turner, (571) 722-8206. 

 

            Feltis died Monday from complications resulting from injuries sustained in the line of duty on Jan. 11.
