Secretary of the Army Louis Caldera Will Report On His Trip To Central America
Secretary of the Army Louis Caldera will report on his trip to Central America this weekend to coordinate DoD support of ongoing U.S. Southern Command assistance to countries recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Mitch at 2 p.m. today in the Pentagon Briefing Room, 2E781.
Caldera departed Washington Saturday for the region after being appointed Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen's Personal Representative for Hurricane Mitch relief activities. He returned to Washington Sunday after visiting Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua and meeting with both senior U.S. as well as government officials.
