Secretary of The Navy to Name Newest Amphibious Ships
Secretary of the Navy Gordon England will name two of the Navy's newest amphibious transport dock ships (LPD 24 and 25) at a press conference on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Auditorium, Room 5A1070.
England will be joined by 9-11 families and Congressional leaders when he names ships to honor communities and individuals affected by attacks of 9-11.
