Full Honors Arrival Ceremony for Gen. Fu Quanyou, People's Republic of China
Gen. John M. Shalikashvili, U.S. Army, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will host a Full Honors Arrival Ceremony at the Pentagon River Entrance at 9 a.m., Aug. 8, 1997, for Gen. Fu Quanyou, chief of the General Staff, People's Liberation Army, People's Republic of China.
Fu is in the United States Aug. 5-13 as the guest of Shalikashvili.
Prior to arriving in Washington, D.C., he visited the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N.Y.; Fort Bragg, N.C.; Norfolk, Va.; and Langley Air Force Base, Va.
In Washington Aug. 7-9, Fu is scheduled to meet with senior U.S. military and civilian officials.
He will depart on Aug. 9 with stops in San Francisco, Calif., and U.S. Pacific Command, Camp H. M. Smith, Hawaii, before returning to China on Aug. 13.
