DASD Campbell briefs SDC/SCC and Guidelines
The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (International Security Affairs: Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau) will provide a briefing on the U.S.-Japan Security Guidelines for news media on Friday, September 19, 1997 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E781).
The briefing will be conducted by Dr. Kurt Campbell, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Asian and Pacific Affairs), and will include an update on next week's bilateral meetings of the Subcommittee for Defense Cooperation (SDC), the Security Consultative Committee (SCC) and the Defense Ministerial.
The briefing will be for attribution, and reporters will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the Guidelines.
