General Myers Travels to Republic of Bulgaria
Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff departed Andrews Air Force Base, Md., July 28, 2004, for the Republic of Bulgaria. The trip is an opportunity to express thanks to his counterpart and government officials for Bulgaria's role in providing troops and support of NATO operations, Operation Iraqi Freedom and the war on terror. He will also discuss issues of mutual interest and security concerns. Gen. Myers will give an address, A Global Approach to a Global Threat, to the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria at an afternoon session July 29, 2004, at the Sheraton Sofia Hotel Balkan, Sofia, Bulgaria.
Myers returns to Washington on July 30, 2004.
