Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen will deliver remarks during Vice President Al Gore's "Computers for Learning" ceremonies scheduled to be held in front of the Washington Monument, 1600 parking lot between 16th and 17th Avenues, Washington, D.C. at 12:05 p.m. (EDT) on Oct. 24, 1997.
Joining Vice President Gore and Secretary Cohen will be Secretary of Energy Federico F. Pena and Secretary of Education Richard W.Riley. The event will mark another milestone in the Department of Defense's support to the president's "Education Technology" initiative. The ceremony will conclude with the distribution of Department of Defense computers to disadvantaged schools.
