Secretary of Defense William J. Perry will honor members of the U.S. Air
Force's 1st Helicopter Squadron as they celebrate 175,000 hours of safe flying
in special ceremonies scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, March 28, in Hangar 1 at
Andrews AFB, Md.
Following congratulatory remarks, Secretary Perry will present the Air Mobility
Command's Flight Safety Milestone Award to the organization. The award
recognizes more than 40 years of flying by the unit without a major mishap.
