General John J. Sheehan, USMC, Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic, will co-hosta two-day conference on the "Quests for Western Security Amid GlobalUncertainty" Friday and Saturday, April 12 - 13, at The College of William andMary campus in Williamsburg, Virginia. Participants include Margaret Thatcher,former prime minister of Great Britain; former U.S. Secretary of State LawrenceEagleburger; U.S. Senator John Warner; U.S. Ambassador to NATO Robert Hunter;Canadian Ambassador to the U.S. Raymond A. J. Chretien; Danish Minister ofDefense Hans Haekkerup; eminent scholars from the RAND Corporation, the Councilon Foreign Relations, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University andothers. The conference will review overall Western security policy optionsnear the mid-point of the announced one-year commitment of U.S. and othertroops from non-NATO nations to the current mission in Bosnia.
