The Commander in Chief, U.S. Atlantic Command, General John
J. Sheehan, USMC, will provide an overview of the forthcoming
August exercise, Cooperative Osprey 96, at a news briefing
tomorrow at 1 p.m. (EDT) in the DoD Media Briefing Room (2E781),
the Pentagon.
Cooperative Osprey 96 is the largest NATO/Partnership for
Peace (PfP) exercise to be held on U.S. soil with forces from 16
PfP nations participating.

The Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Charles C.
Krulak, USMC, will announce an initiative that improves the way
the Corps makes and sustains its Marines at a news briefing
tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. (EDT), also in the DoD Media Briefing Room
(2E781), the Pentagon.
After the briefing, senior Marine officials will be
available to answer questions on this topic only, which is being
called Making Marines for the 21st Century.
