Secretary of Defense William J. Perry will address the annual Department of the Army Procurement Conference, Tuesday, November 19, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel, 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, Va., at 9:40 a.m. (EST).
FOLLOWING THE SECRETARY'S PREPARED REMARKS, HE WILL PROVIDE
AN UPDATE ON U.S. MILITARY PLANNING IN SUPPORT OF HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS IN ZAIRE.
This event will be attended by approximately 200 senior contracting and legal Army personnel from around the world.
The secretary's remarks will be open to the media and attempts will be made to pipe them back to the Pentagon. There will not be a media availability.
