The Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) will conduct a full-scale bio-exercise on the Pentagon Reservation on Wednesday, May 17th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EDT. The exercise, called "Gallant Fox 06," is open for media coverage. The purpose of this event is to enable PFPA and its federal, state, and local response partners to exercise an integrated public health and public information response to a bio-attack at the Pentagon.
As part of this exercise, a triage/decontamination site will be set up in the Pentagon North Parking Area with first responders and equipment from local fire, police, and rescue units. In addition to decontamination equipment, the site will include a triage/treatment area, a rehabilitation area, a HAZMAT team area, and a media vehicle staging area.
Journalists should be aware that parking is available in the Pentagon North Parking Lot between 4 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. A briefing and tour of the exercise activities will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a press briefing. You must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 692-9101 to confirm participation and coordinate details.
