No. 264-P:09/22/95:General John M. Shalikashvili, USA, Chai
General John M. Shalikashvili, USA, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
will depart Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, on Sunday, September 24, 1995 for
counterpart visits to the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Hungary, and Poland.
He will meet with heads of state, defense ministers and other senior government
and military officials to discuss topics of mutual interest and regional
security.
A media availability is scheduled in each country. The Chairman will also
address the faculty and students at the National Defense Academy in Poland.
General Shalikashvili returns to Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, on Friday
evening, September 29.
