Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy Ash Carter
will sign a Cooperative Threat Reduction agreement between the Department of
Defense and the Republic of Kazakstan at 2:30 p.m. (EDT), Tuesday, Oct. 3,
1995, in the Pentagon, Room 1E801.
This agreement will permanently close and seal the former Soviet Union's
Degelen Mountain nuclear test tunnel complex, the largest such site in the
world.
