Secretary of Defense William J. Perry will host a Full Honors Arrival Ceremony
to welcome Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Rustam Akhmedov, of the Republic of
Uzbekistan, to the Pentagon at 10:30 a.m. (EDT), Friday, Oct. 13, 1995. The
Ceremony will be held on the Lower River Parade Field of the Pentagon.
Following the ceremony Secretary Perry and Minister Akhmedov will sign a
Memorandum of Understanding formalizing the defense and security relationship
between the United States and Uzbekistan. The signing ceremony will be held in
Room 3E869
