DoD's Combined Federal Campaign Kick-Off

       Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz will kickoff the 2003 Department of Defense Combined Federal Campaign on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. EST in the Pentagon, Room 3E869.   Director of Adminsitration and Managemnt, Ray DuBois will serve as master of ceremonies. 


       Other special guests will include president and CEO of the United Black Fund, Mrs. Wilhelmina Rolark; CFC Dirctor of the National Captial Area, Mr. Al Brill, president; Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, Gen. (Ret.) Wilma Vaught; President, Pentagon 9-11 Memorial Fund, Inc., Mr. Jim Laychak; and Fort Myer firefighter, Allan Wallace. 


       This year's CFC Kickoff is distinquished by having the Pentagon Memorial Fund, Inc., as an option for charitable payroll deductions.  The fund is working to raise over $12 million for the construction of the Pentagon 9-11 memorial grove, a monument park of benches and trees scheduled for construction by 2005.


       Media representatives who do not have a Pentagon building pass and wish to cover this event should arrive at the Pentagon's North Parking Entrance at 10:30 a.m. for an escort.  Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification.
