General John M. Shalikashvili, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will
host a Joint Service Full Honors Ceremony at the Pentagon River Plaza at 9 a.m.
(EST), November 3, 1994, for Vice Admiral Jorge Arancibia Reyes, chief of the
National Defense Staff, Republic of Chile.
Vice Admiral Arancibia arrived in the United States on October 29, 1994, and,
as the guest of General Shalikashvili, will remain until November 5, 1994. He
visited various Army, Navy and Air Force installations throughout the U.S.
prior to his arrival in Washington, D.C. On November 3, 1994, he will
participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns, Arlington
National Cemetery, at 3:15 p.m. (EST).
