The Deputy Commandant for Marine Corps Aviation, Lt. Gen. George J. Trautman III, and four members of the Marine Corps’ first operational Osprey squadron will discuss the initial combat deployment of the MV-22 Osprey on Friday at 10:30 a.m. EST in the Pentagon briefing studio, Pentagon 2E579.
Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (VMM-263) deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in September 2007 and returned last week. They will discuss their experiences as the first unit to take the MV-22 Osprey into combat.
