The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will headline the 2008 Joint Service Open House Air Show at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. The show is free and open to the public on May 17-18. The show is also open Friday, May 16 to Department of Defense personnel and school-sponsored children only. Gates open at 8 a.m. each day.
This year’s JSOH Air Show will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift with special commemorative activities including re-enactments of C-54 aircraft air drops and ceremonies with representatives from the German embassy. The C-54 “Spirit of Freedom”, an aircraft used during the Berlin Airlift, will also be featured.
