Secretary Gates To Discuss National Defense Strategy
Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates will speak to students of the National Defense University at 10 a.m. EDT, Sept. 29, as part of the university’s Distinguished Lecture Program. During his remarks, the secretary will discuss the 2008 National Defense Strategy.
Journalists may cover the secretary’s remarks and the question and answer session, but will not be allowed to ask questions. Media who plan to attend must contact National Defense University Public Affairs at (202) 685-3140 before 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, to arrange access to the event. To enter Ft. McNair, journalists must show a government-issued photo identification card, such as a driver’s license or passport. |
