Regional Command South Commanding General to Brief Live From Afghanistan
British Army Maj. Gen. Nick Carter, commanding general for Regional Command South, will brief the media live from Afghanistan at 11 a.m. EDT, May 26, in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E973. Carter will provide an update on the Kandahar campaign known as Hamkari.
Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the River Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call 703-697-5131 for escort into the building.
Correction: May 25, 2010, Kandahar governor was not scheduled to brief.
