Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz departed Andrews Air Force Base, Md., this morning for a five-day trip to Singapore, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
While in Singapore, he will attend a conference of Asian security and defense officials sponsored by the International Institute for Strategic Studies. On Saturday, May 31, he will speak to the conference about U.S. strategy and security in the Asia-Pacific region.
