Feds Feed Families Annual Food Drive Concludes at Pentagon
The Department of Defense will host a ceremony marking the conclusion of the 2011 Feds Feed Families Food Drive on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 1:30 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon Auditorium.
The food drive, administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, took place during June, July and August. Federal employees throughout the National Capital Region and military installations nationwide donated non-perishable food to local food banks. The campaign-wide goal was 2 million pounds of food collected and the drive collected a total of 5.7 million pounds.
