Briefing On Geneva Convention, EPWs And War Crimes

Special assistant to the Judge Advocate General for the Army W. Hays Parks and Ambassador Pierre-Richard Prosper, U.S. ambassador for war crime issues, will conduct a briefing on the Geneva Convention, enemy prisoners of war (EPWs) handling, war crimes, and the Law of War, on Monday, April 7, at 10 a.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Studio, Pentagon, Room 2E781.

This briefing is the first in a series related to the treatment of Iraqi EPWs. The next briefing will be held on Wednesday, April 9, at 9 a.m. The final will be held on Friday, April 11, at 9 a.m. These briefings will be satellite-teleconferenced to the U.S. Central Command, and the Coalition Forces Land Component Commander media centers.
