Secretary Rumsfeld to host Georgia Minister of Defense
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host an honor cordon to welcome Minister of Defense Gen. Lt. David Tevzadze, of Georgia, to the Pentagon, at noon EDT, Tuesday, May 7, 2002.
The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the Pentagon River Entrance no later than 11:30 a.m. EDT for the cordon.
Rumsfeld and Tevzadze will conduct a brief media availability at the River Entrance at 12:30 p.m. EDT. Media must be at the Pentagon River Entrance no later than 12:10 p.m. EDT for the media availability.
Media without a Pentagon building pass must have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Media interested in audiovisual coverage of this event may contact Terry Mitchell at (703) 695-0169.
