United States and Turkey To Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics Edward C. "Pete" Aldridge and Turkey's Under Secretary for Defense Industries Ali Ercan will sign a memorandum of understanding Thursday, July 11, 2002, at noon EDT in Pentagon Room 3E912. This signing commits Turkey to participation in the Joint Strike Fighter system development and demonstration (SDD) phase.
Media without a Pentagon building passes that wish to cover this event need to be at the River Entrance guard house on Boundary Channel Drive no later than 11:30 a.m. on the morning of this event.
