Gen. Myers Travels To California And Nevada
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers departs Andrews Air Force Base, Md., today for a visit to California and Nevada.
Myers will observe Millennium Challenge 2002 exercises and visit troops in San Diego and Fort Irwin, Calif., and Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. In addition, Myers will address the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency at the DARPA Tech 2002 Symposium, Tuesday, July 30 2002, at 2 p.m. PDT at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel.
On Wednesday, July 31, at 6:30 p.m., Myers will address the Commonwealth Club of California at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, Calif. He will be speaking on the global war on terrorism. Press is encouraged to cover the event. There will be a media availability following his address.
Myers will return to Washington on Thursday, August 1, 2002.
