DUSD DuBois to Speak at UXO/Countermine Forum
Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment Raymond F. DuBois, Jr., will speak at the UXO/Countermine Forum in Orlando, Fla., Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 1:30 p.m. EDT. The forum will be held in the Orlando World Center Marriott, 8701 World Center Drive, Orlando. Only DuBois's speech will be open for media coverage; however, there will be a media availability from noon to 12:30 p.m. in the hotel's Grand Ballroom VI. DuBois will discuss the Defense Department's recent efforts to protect the readiness and training capabilities of the U.S. warfighter through the readiness and range preservation initiative. He also will address DoD's new policy for environmental management systems, munitions response plans and technology opportunities for the future.
DuBois is the senior DoD official responsible for oversight and policy guidance for military installations and environmental programs worldwide.
