CJCS Travel Announcement
Air Force Gen. Richard B. Myers, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, departed Andrews Air Force Base, Md., on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, for the Middle East. The purpose is a holiday visit with the troops. Accompanying him is a USO tour to include comedian Drew Carey and baseball pitcher Roger Clemens. Myers is also expected to visit several counterparts in the region. He returns to Washington on Monday, Dec. 23, 2002.
Each country will be announced upon arrival.
