Gulf War Illnesses Office, RAND Pesticide Reports Released
Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness Bernard Rostker will conduct a news conference on Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. EST in the Pentagon Briefing Room (2E781) to announce the release of an environmental exposure report examining the use and potential long-term health effects of pesticides during the Gulf War; a RAND survey of Gulf War veterans' pesticide use during the Gulf War; and a RAND review of the existing scientific literature on the health effects of pesticides as it pertains to Gulf War illnesses.
