Pentagon Hosts Earth Day Event
In celebration of Earth Day, the Pentagon will host a three-day event, April 23-25, where vendors will display renewable technologies, recycling, alternative fuels/transportation and water and energy conservation concepts. The event opens each day at 8 a.m. EDT, and runs to 3 p.m. on the Pentagon's main concourse.
As part of Earth Day recognition, a special demonstration by the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) School of Polymers will take place on Tuesday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the Pentagon Auditorium, Room 5A1070. At that time, USM will explain its new technology for low odor, low-volatile organic compounds paint that exceeds all environmental initiatives. The Pentagon plans to use this paint in a segment of its current renovation program.
