Secretary of Defense to Host Amir of Bahrain
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host an honor cordon to welcome the Amir of Bahrain Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to the Pentagon at 10 a.m. EDT, Tuesday, May 8, 2001.
The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Media must be at the River Entrance no later than 9:30 a.m. EDT for the cordon.
Rumsfeld and the Amir will conduct a brief media availability following their meeting at approximately 11:00 a.m. EDT on the steps of the River Entrance. Media must be at the River Entrance no later than 10:30 a.m. EDT for the availability.
