Backgrounder on Secretary Rumsfeld European Visit
A senior Defense department official will provide a background briefing on Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld's trip to Europe on Thursday, May 31, 2001, at 2:30 p.m. EDT in the DoD Briefing Room, 2E781.
Rumsfeld is scheduled to leave on June 3 to visit U.S. forces in the region and to consult with his counterparts and senior government officials. He is scheduled to attend the NATO Defense Ministerial on June 7-8 in Brussels.
