Defense Department Conducts National Security Personnel System Briefing
Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon R. England and Office of Personnel Management Director Linda Springer will conduct a press briefing at 3 p.m. EDT, Oct. 26, in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E579, to discuss the National Security Personnel System. This new human resource system will define rules for DoD civilian employees regarding pay and classification, performance management, hiring, workforce shaping, disciplinary matters, appeals procedures and labor management relations.
Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the North Parking Entrance only. Plan to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to the event; have proof of affiliation and two forms of photo identification. Please call (703) 697-5131 for escort into the building. |
