The Department of Defense will present a briefing on the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. EST in the DoD Briefing Room, Pentagon 2E781.
The mission of the TSWG is to identify, prioritize and coordinate interagency and international research and development requirements for combating terrorism.
One of the more recent initiatives was a broad agency announcement requesting ideas on various aspects of combating terrorism, announced by the DoD on Oct. 23, 2001. The DoD press release on the announcement can be found at http://www.defenselink.mil/releases/2001/b10252001_bt540-01.html.
The briefers are John Reingruber, the assistant for Science and Technology, OASD (SO/LIC) Combating Terrorism Deputate, and Jeffrey David, deputy director of the Combating Terrorism Technology Support Office.
