Rumsfeld to Commemorate Sept. 11 at Pentagon
Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld will host a ceremony at the Pentagon at 9:30 a.m. EST, Dec. 11, 2001, to commemorate the moment the building was struck on September 11th.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Richard B. Myers, U.S. Air Force, will join Rumsfeld in the ceremony.
The ceremony will be held at the Pentagon crash site. Media must be at the River Entrance no later than 8:45 a.m. EST for escort to the site.
