Cohen Travels to Camp Pendleton
Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen travels to Camp Pendleton, Calif., Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000 to meet with troops to discuss a major new Quality of Life initiative. The troop talk is scheduled to begin at 10:55 a.m. PST. There will be a media availability following the troop talk. The point of contact for the media availability is 1st Lt. Patricia Restrepo of the Camp Pendleton public affairs office at (760) 725-5043 or 44.
An effort will be made to pipe the audio of the troop talk and media availability back to the Pentagon. If successful, it will be available on the Pentagon's internal television cable channel 13 and in the Pentagon briefing studio (2E781) at 1:55 p.m. EST. A senior defense official will be available in the Pentagon studio immediately thereafter to respond to questions from Pentagon reporters.
