Secretary of the Air Force F. Whitten Peters will be the featured speaker at this year's first Aerospace Power Breakfast Seminar Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, at 8 a.m. in Rayburn House Office Building, Room B339.
Peters will discuss the Air Force's fiscal 2001 budget submission, the service's transformation to an Expeditionary Aerospace Force, and the Air Force's role in the national security strategy. He will highlight key programs and capabilities in the Air Force's balanced budget submission. Following his remarks, Peters will answer questions.
Congressman Sam Johnson, (R-Texas) will introduce Peters. Johnson is a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, and a decorated 29-year Air Force veteran.
The Aerospace Power Seminar Series provides a forum for legislative and defense policy leaders to discuss current national strategy issues and the history and capabilities of aerospace power.
