Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen travels to Texas on Thursday, Mar. 2, 2000 for a two-day series of speaking engagements and military installation visits. Cohen's itinerary will include the following events:
On Thursday, Mar. 2, at 12:30 p.m. CST, Cohen will speak at the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce luncheon in the Texas Ballroom at the Adams Mark Hotel, 111 East Pelican Street, San Antonio. At 8:35 p.m., Thursday, Cohen will attend an NBA basketball game between the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves and participate in a halftime military tribute to three San Antonio-area Medal of Honor recipients. At 12:10 p.m., Friday, Cohen will tour the Force XXI Brigade Tactical Command Post and Combat Information Center, Ft. Hood. Cohen will view a demonstration of Ft. Hood's digital battle command information system and observe live Warfighting Exercise between Ft. Hood's 4th Infantry Division and the 1st Calvary Division.
