Army to Announce Housing Privatization at Ft. Hood
The Army will announce the selection of the private development partner for the family housing privatization project at Fort Hood, Texas, on Thursday, June 29 at 1 p.m. EDT in the Pentagon briefing studio, room 2E781.
Fort Hood is the first and largest pilot location solicited under the Army's new Residential Communities Initiative (RCI) program.
Participants in the news conference will include Mahlon Apgar IV, assistant secretary of the Army for Installations and Environment; Representative Chet Edwards (D-Tex.); and Army Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Miller, deputy chief of staff for Personnel and Installation Management.
