CONTRACTS

ARMY

Holston Defense Corp., Kingsport, Tenn., is being awarded a $19,618,124 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for the production of 110,000 pounds of HMX Grade B, Class 1 and 778,600 pounds of HMX Grade B, 80 Screen. Work will be performed at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, Kingsport, Tenn., and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 10, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Ill. (DAAA09-92-Z-0008).

GTE Government Systems Corp., Taunton, Mass., is being awarded a $10,729,393 modification to a firm fixed price and time and materials contract for Common Hardware/Software-2 (CHS-2) program customer orders for battlefield support automated systems. Items include both ruggedized and non-ruggedized commercial computers and peripheral items to include workstations, handheld terminal units, printers, uninterruptible power supplies, mass storage devices, software and software maintenance. Also acquired are technical and engineering support services. Work will be performed in Taunton, Mass., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $34,111 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 50 bids solicited on April 21, 1993, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-94-C-N853).

AIR FORCE

Black Construction, Inc., Guam, is being awarded an $8,021,201 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for upgrade of the electrical distribution system at Andersen AFB, Guam. This effort includes repair, replacement, and installation of electrical components. Contract is expected to be completed April 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 41 firms solicited and 6 proposals received. The 36 Contracting Squadron, Andersen AFB, Guam, is the contracting activity (F64133-97/D- 0002).

NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Corp., McDonnell Aircraft Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $35,000,000 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-C-0065 to provide additional funding for the procurement of 12 Low Rate Initial Production F/A-18E/F aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (64%), and Hawthorne, Calif. (36%), and is expected to be completed by April 2000. Contract funds would not have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., is being awarded a $14,030,549 firm- fixed-price delivery order for repair of 40 types of airframe assemblies in support of the H-60 Seahawk. The assemblies to be repaired include rotary wing blades, rotary rudder blades, and spindle assemblies. Work will be performed in Shelton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by April 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Penn., is the contracting activity (N00383-97-D-011N) (Order 0001).
