DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
CONTRACTS
Labatt Food Service*, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a
$10,700,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity type contract
for full line food distribution. Eighty proposals were solicited
and five were received. Work is expected to be completed by May
8, 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.
The Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pa., is the
contracting activity (SP0300-97-D-2903).
ARMY
Resource Consultants Inc., Vienna, Va., is being awarded a
$6,675,483 increment of a $91,504,828 modification to a cost plus
fixed fee contract to provide performance extension, avoiding
discontinuation of services by the contractor. This will allow
for the provisioning of job assistance services and transition
processing services to military service members, government
employees, and their family members. The extension will provide
the Army a means to continue staffing, managing, and operating
existing Job Assistance Centers (JACs) and Transition Processing
Centers (TPCs) located worldwide. Work will be performed in
Vienna, Va. (75%); and various locations worldwide (25%), and is
expected to be completed by Sept. 7, 1998. Of the total contract
funds, $2,416,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 157 bids solicited on Feb. 12, 1991, and 13
bids were received. The contracting activity is the Defense
Supply Service-Washington, Washington, D.C. (MDA903-91-C-0179).
NAVY
Newport News Shipbuilding Co., Newport News, Va., is being
awarded a $6,882,976 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-96-C-2104 for Aircraft Carrier Engineering Support (ACES)
services. Work will be performed in Newport News, Va., and is
expected to be completed by September 1997. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded an
$87,248,253 modification to previously awarded contract N00019-96-
C-0049 to provide additional funding for four FY97 E-2C aircraft.
Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla. (75%); Bethpage,
N.Y. (24%); and Milledgeville, Ga. (1%), and is expected to be
completed by November 1999. Contract funds would not have
expired at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air
Systems Command, Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity.
General Dynamics, Land Systems (GDLS) Div., Warren, Mich.,
is being awarded a $24,128,991 modification to previously awarded
contract M67854-96-C-0038 for Design Maturation Acceleration
efforts in support of the Demonstration/Validation Phase of the
Advanced Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAAV) Program. Work will be
performed in Woodbridge, Va., and is expected to be completed by
January 2000. Contract funds would not have expired at the end
of the current fiscal year. The Marine Corps Systems Command,
Woodbridge, Va., is the contracting activity.
