ARMY
CONTRACTS
Stewart & Stevenson Services Inc., Sealy, Texas, was awarded
on May 12, 1997, a $14,315,115 modification to a fixed price with
economic price adjustments contract for a Definitize Air
Transportability Engineering Change Proposal (modifications
P00028, P00044, P00051, P00053, & P00112). Work will be
performed in Sealy, Texas, and is expected to be completed by
Dec. 31, 1998. Of the total contract funds, $5,784,155 will
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were three
bids solicited on Sept. 20, 1990, and three bids were received.
The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-automotive &
Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-92-C-R001).
Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wisc., was awarded on May 9,
1997, a $7,130,000 firm fixed price contract to overhaul the M977
Series Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTTs), chassis
portion only: 18 each M985 cargo with winch; 52 each M985 cargo
without winch; and 10 each M978 tankers. Work will be performed
in Oshkosh, Wisc., and is expected to be completed by March 31,
1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on Jan.
28, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-
automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich. (DAAE07-97-D-X010).
Wynn Construction Co. Inc., Oklahoma City, Okla., is being
awarded a $13,148,981 firm fixed price construction contract to
design/build a Bio-Medical Equipment Maintenance Training (BMET)
Facility. The project will include construction of a new 70,500
sq. feet two-story facility and renovation of 20,000 sq. feet in
existing Building 1900. Supporting facilities include utility,
fire protection, landscaping, paved walks and roads, and site
improvements. Work will be performed at Sheppard Air Force Base,
Texas, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1999.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 71 bids solicited on Feb. 12, 1997, and six
bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Okla. (DACA56-97-C-0036).
Ilex Systems Inc., Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded an
increment (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued
with each delivery order) of a $17,697,515 modification (ceiling
option year one, estimated not-to-exceed) to a time and
materials, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity with award fee
contract to exercise the option to extend the term of the
contract one year for Life Cycle Software Engineering support for
the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command Software
Engineering Center at Ft. Monmouth, N.J. Work will be performed
at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz. (60%), and Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (40%), and
is expected to be completed by May 30, 2001. There were 17 bids
solicited on Aug. 3, 1995, and three bids were received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications and
Electronics Command, Ft. Monmouth, N.J. (DAAB07-96-D-H510).
NAVY
Vitro Corp., Rockville, Md., is being awarded a $9,215,000
cost-plus-fixed-fee level of effort contract to provide technical
services to support the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP)
associated with weapon systems integration, facilities, security,
training, logistics, and special test equipment support for the
United Kingdom under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program.
Work will be performed in Rockville, Md., and is expected to be
completed by March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not
competitively procured. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program,
Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity (N00030-97-C-0047).
Lockheed Martin Corp., Missiles and Space, Sunnyvale,
Calif., is being awarded a $22,429,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee
contract to procure Long Lead Material required for the FY98
follow-on production of the TRIDENT II (D5) Missile System. This
contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (68%), and the
government of the United Kingdom (32%), under the Foreign
Military Sales (FMS) Program. Work will be performed in
Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September
2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The

General Atomics-Aeronautical Systems Inc., San Diego,
Calif., is being awarded a $16,968,183 fixed-price-incentive
contract for six Medium Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial
Vehicles (UAVs), spare parts, ground support equipment, and data.
Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to
be completed by August 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not
competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command,
Arlington, Va., is the contracting activity

AIR FORCE
Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a
$5,415,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to
provide for 75 Embedded Global Positioning System/Inertial
Navigation System (EGI) units, 75 Recurring Hardware Packages,
and associated waranties, in support of the A-10A aircraft.
Contract is expected to be completed April 1999. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the
contracting activity (F).
Northrop Grumman Corp., Pico Rivera, Calif., is being
awarded a $27,165,636 face value increase to a firm fixed price
contract to provide for 11 software Line Replaceable Units
applicable to the B-2 aircraft for use in the Weapon System
Support Center Software Laboratory, Tinker AFB, Okla. Contract
is expected to be completed April 2000. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Oklahoma City Air
Logistics Center, Tinker AFB, Okla. is the contracting activity
