CONTRACTS
Golden Manufacturing Company, Inc.**, Golden, Miss., is
being awarded a $20,620,197 firm fixed price, indefinite
delivery/indefinite quantity type contract for class 2, woodland
camouflage, cold weather coats. One hundred thirty one proposals
were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in
Golden, Miss.; and Marietta, Miss., and is expected to be
completed by October 1998. Funds will not expire at the end of
the fiscal year. The Defense Personnel Support Center,
Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0100-96-D-
0320).
ARMY
Raytheon Co., Bedford, Mass., is being awarded a $16,892,949
modification to a firm fixed price contract for PATRIOT
Classification, Discrimination and Identification Phase III Kits,
installation and concurrent spares. Work will be performed in
Tewksbury, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31,
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source letter contract initiated on
May 16, 1997. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile
Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala. (DAAH01-96-C-0114).
Roy F. Weston, West Chester, Pa., is being awarded a
$13,665,997 firm fixed price contract for remedial clean-up and
on-site trial burn and incineration of contaminated soil,
placement of stabilized soil; excavation of steel-band wrapped
wooden pipeline; removal of debris and reinforced concrete
foundation, and asbestos containing material management, in
compliance with the substantive requirements of the Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Missouri Department
of Natural Resources; clearing and grubbing operations; utilities
clearance and hook-ups; water treatment operations; haul road
construction and maintenance; air monitoring; site security;
fabrication of a temporary storage facility; on-site analytical
services; verification soil sampling; water run-off monitoring;
backfilling/re-grading; and re-seeding. Work will be performed
in Weldon Spring, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Sept.
30, 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. There were 90 bids solicited on Jan. 31,
1997, and seven bids were received. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Mo. (DACA41-97-C-
8002).
Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being
awarded an $18,088,722 modification to a firm fixed price and
time and materials contract to exercise the option for Lot XIV
production of 13 each OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Aircraft. Work will
be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be
completed by Oct. 31, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source
contract initiated on June 28, 1996. The contracting activity is
the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAJ09-
96-C-0139).
Bell Helicopter, Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a
$10,343,000 firm fixed price letter contract for retro-fit, Lot
VI, for the Kiowa Warrior Aircraft. Work will be performed in
Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by June 30,
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on May 15,
1992. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and
Troop Command, St. Louis, Mo. (DAAJ09-97-C-0159).
AIR FORCE
McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Mo., is being
awarded a $51,650,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price
contract to definitize software development, test, and avionics
integration for the software facilities supporting the Israeli
Air Force F-151 aircraft. These facilities perform multiple
test, integration, simulation modeling and modification
functions. Contract is expected to be completed March 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This effort supports foreign military sales to Israel.
Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the
contracting activity (F33657-94/C-2195, P00021).
Primex Aerospace Co., Redmond, Wash., is being awarded a
$22,650,847 firm fixed price contract to provide for 181 Store
Management Test Sets applicable to the F-16 aircraft. These sets
are used to verify system voltages on the aircraft's armament
systems. Contract is expected to be completed June 1999.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were two firms solicited and one proposal received.
Solicitation began January 1997; negotiations were completed
April 1997. Approximately 7% of this effort supports foreign
military sales to Norway, the Netherlands, Israel, and Turkey.
Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill AFB, Utah, is the contracting
activity (F42620-97/C-0069).
Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a
$10,345,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to
provide for contractor support for the C-130J aircraft through
January 1999. This effort includes data, manuals, training,
interim contractor support, logistics support analysis, and
continuation of the reliability and maintainability program.
Contract is expected to be completed January 1999. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
